It is Thanksgiving here in Canada. 🦃
A time to celebrate the harvest and show gratitude for the good fortunes we have had throughout the year.
The leaves have changed colours, the pumpkins and gourds are out in full force, the weather is nippy, and I’m drinking as many Pumpkin Spice Lattes as I possibly can!
It is a perfect time to give thanks for the things in life that (perhaps) we take for granted and those we don’t. Gratitude has a profound healing effect on the soul.
I am thankful for:
A brother that is an inspiration.
A sister-in-law that is a strong, independent, fierce woman.
A niece that is full of love.
A nephew that is always smiling.
A family that has taken me in.
Friends that accept my craziness and sarcasm – and can give it just as good as taking it.
A cat that loves me for me.
A warm, cozy home that I love.
A stocked fridge and full belly.
Fires in the fireplace.
Early morning silence.
My bullet journal.
Warm, soft, comfortable pajamas.
Harry Potter… everything Harry Potter!
Toronto Blue Jays Baseball.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Football.
Random acts of kindness.
Fixing things by myself.
I am thankful for the large and small presents presented to me every day that remind me of the joy and good in the world. Being aware and appreciative allows me to be more mindful and present.
What are you thankful for?
