For my November bullet journal spread, I chose a crystal and gem theme. November is such a blah month. In Canada, it’s starting to get cold, snow is coming, and there isn’t a lot happening in November, only Remembrance Day. Remember, our Thanksgiving is in October. So, with my November bullet journal spread I wanted to bring some sparkle to this dull month. I chose to go with different shades of blue and purple and added some silver into my crystals and gems.
Title Page – Crystals and Gems
I started with a hexagon and used cursive for November using my wonderful Tombow brush tip pen. I added crystals all around, as if, they were forming in nature from the crevices and cracks in the rock.
I stuck with my very simple 1-page calendar (like I always do). My motto this month is Sparkle On! I added crystals into the empty squares and continued with the shades of blue and purple using my Prang pencil crayons, which I love because it comes with silver and gold.
I made the weekly spread fairly simple with the basic block layout. I love the large writing for the date. I added crystals and gems all around. It just seems so fun and vibrant.
Last month I went back to the grid layout for my habit tracker and I really liked being able to see them all together. It made it much easier to see what I was slacking on and what I have mastered. So, I stuck with that in November as well. I added a few new habits to track and added the complete grid with my Papermate fine tipped black pen. I also added the days of the week above the dates. I find that is very helpful if I don’t record daily (which I occasionally do).
I know I am going to love this mood tracker! By using the diamond shape, I am able to track my multiple moods throughout the day. I have found tracking my moods quite helpful in my mental health recovery, as I am able to look at the full month and assess what type of days I had. It helps with identifying triggers or sleep issues. And I think I have finally figured out the ideal moods/emotions to track. This month I have chosen: Productive/Up; Relaxed; Tired/Weak; Anxious/Stressed; Angry/Grumpy; Sad/Down. I could add Happy/Joy later on, but truthfully, I don’t really experience those days. It’s a good day if I feel relaxed and calm.
Gratitude Page – Look for the SPARKLE in Life
For my gratitude page this month, I went back to the list format. I really do like having a little more space to record what I am grateful for and why. Gratitude is so important in your mental health recovery. It allows you to notice and appreciate the good things even on bad days. I only choose one thing to be grateful for daily, but many people will list up to five things. I added the quote “Be like a diamond precious and rare not like a stone that is found everywhere” as a reminder to embrace my uniqueness (flaws and all).
I loved the over exaggeration in this theme. The large writing and colours. I am not a big believer in healing crystals, but after drawing them and doing a small amount of research, they are quite intriguing. I might have to look more into them. Do you have any experience with using crystals?
What theme did you use for your November bujo? I would love to see them in the comments.
