My July bullet journal page layouts with a fun, bright summer theme. I have included a title page, calendar, weekly layout, habit & mood tracker, and summer bucket list.
I have said it before and I will say it again “I LOVE my bullet journal!”
My July pages almost caused a major meltdown!
After I had all my pages finished and I was making Canada Day plans, I realized I numbered all my days wrong! ☹
Often, making mistakes like this would send me into a self-defeating whirlwind. I am slowly accepting mistakes in my journal and even embracing them. But, the thought of having to redo 5 or 6 pages and having the mistakes stare at me as I flipped through my journal made me very grouchy. So, I slept on it and realized I can fix it all with a little washi tape (oh, thank the universe for this invention!)
Here are my July bullet journal page layouts:
July Title Page:
I chose a summer theme because… well, it’s summer, my favourite season! So, the summer items are displayed with photographs and I had to add a flamingo (they are all the rage right now – and so darn delightful!)
This page isn’t overly fancy. I stuck with the flamingo pinks. I had to put the silver washi tape on because I tried to make doodles coming off of the word ‘smile’ and it looked like shit so I had to cover it up.
July Habit Tracker:
This is the first time I have made an individual habit tracker for each habit. I love how it turned out. I always use highlighters to track my habits. It makes things so simple and bright. And you will notice the washi tape for the days of the week – yup one of the pages that I dated wrong. Luckily, fixable with washi tape and rewriting the days of the week.
July Gratitude Jar:
The gratitude pages are probably some of my most favourite pages to create. I also really love showing gratitude for the small things. I find it makes me more mindful. I thought the jar idea would be charming (as if your catching fireflies – I’m catching gratitude).
July Mood Tracker:
Truth… this is the first mood tracker I have made. I didn’t attempt them before because I couldn’t wrap my head around how I would track ALL my moods/emotions. But after falling into a depressive episode in June, I felt like this might be a very good time to track and reflect on my daily feelings.
Sticking with the summer theme, I chose ice cream cones. I started with some basic emotions (happy; productive; relaxed; weak; anxious; angry; sad) and elaborated on what those basic emotions actually consist of. Notice the silver washi tape again, yup another mistake. I wanted to write the basic emotions in capitals and I started writing in lowercase. So, a piece of washi tape hid my mistake (again).
July Weekly Layouts:
I really like having a full week across 2 pages. My week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. Since it’s a summer theme, I added the colour blocks at the top and I added very simple plant doodles. This gives me lots of room to make my lists and plans. I kept the photograph theme in the notes section.
So, where the pink washi tape is, is where I made the number mistakes. It’s fixed and I don’t hate it.
Summer Bucket List:
Since it is now officially summer, I also had to create my summer bucket list. I try to add things that are free or cheap and I try to add social activities.
Do you have any other things I should add to my list?
What theme did you pick for your July pages?
