5 strategies to calm your mind:
- Journal – Use a journal to write down all your thoughts. Once they are out of your mind it is easier to slow the thoughts and focus on sleep.

- Prepare – If you are constantly thinking about the next day, prepare as much as you can the night before. Lay out outfits, pack lunches, write a to-do list, get your coffee mug out, etc. Your brain will know that you are prepared for the next day.
- Worry Time – If you are prone to anxiety or spend a lot of time worrying, create a worry time. Set aside a small time each day (10 minutes) to focus on your worries. If worries arise throughout the day, write them down on a list, and tell yourself you will focus on it during your worry time. During your worry time look at your list and dissect your worries. Can you come up with solutions? Do you still need to be worrying about it?
